Abstract: A bioreactor includes a housing with a number of removable parts for modular construction and easy assembly or disassembly. The removable parts include a fixed bed and a support for the fixed bed. More than one support may be provided. The multiple supports may interlock with each other or a lid of the bioreactor. The support interlocks with the housing to prevent relative rotation. The multiple supports include a support frame for supporting the fixed bed an allowing fluid to flow through the support frame. The fixed bed forms a peripheral chamber between the support and the housing to hold the fixed bed. One or more probes and tubes may be inserted into the bioreactor to test parameters of or to add to or remove liquid from inside.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a flexible bioprocessing vessel includes a rigid body having a hexagonal interior that includes a bottom surface and six sides surrounding the bottom surface, the hexagonal interior having a substantially open top. The apparatus further includes a selectively openable door allowing access to the hexagonal interior and a stand portion attached to the rigid body, the stand portion allowing access to an underside of the rigid body. The hexagonal interior is configured to receive a hexagonal flexible bioprocessing vessel having a liquid level height to width ratio of ?1.

Abstract: An apparatus for transporting and installing a flexible bioprocessing vessel includes a base portion having a front end and a rear end, the base portion configured for attachment to a hexagonal bottom surface of the flexible bioprocessing vessel. The apparatus further includes a first wing portion and a second wing portion both hingedly attached to the base portion and selectively movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first wing portion and the second wing portion are angled relative to the base portion to form a storage cavity for the flexible bioprocessing vessel. In the second position, the first wing portion, the second wing portion, and the base portion are substantially planar. The apparatus has a hexagonal outer profile configured for attachment to the hexagonal bottom surface of the flexible bioprocessing vessel and for placement within the rigid hexagonal support structure.
