Abstract: Systems like Local Area Networks for redundantly exchanging information parts between source nodes (1) and destination nodes (2) via different physical links (4,5) are simply constructed by introducing in the source node (1) source interfaces (13,14) and by introducing in the destination node (2) destination interfaces (23,24) and address detectors (52,53) for detecting source interface addresses in information parts and selectors (51) for in dependence of detected source interface addresses selecting one destination interface (23,24) for non-redundantly processing one of the redundantly exchanged information parts. The source interfaces (13,14) are defined by identical source interface addresses, and the source nodes (1) comprise suppliers (41) for supplying information parts comprising identical data parts to the source interfaces (13,14).
