  • Publication number: 20230406124
Abstract: A connector for use in charging an electric vehicle (EV). The connector includes a housing, an electrical receptacle coupled to the housing and structured to be inserted into and electrically couple with a charging port of the electric vehicle, and a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader disposed within or on the housing of the connector, the RFID reader structured to read RFID tags and, in response to reading an approved code from an RFID tag, to enable charging of the EV.

  • Patent number: 8680756
Abstract: A HID luminaire includes a HID lamp, a reflector, and a lens. The reflector has a proximal end, a distal area, and an intermediate are positioned therebetween. The reflector has an interior surface that includes a first portion that extends from the proximal end to the intermediate area and a second portion that extends from the intermediate area to the distal end. The second portion is less light reflective than the first portion. The lens has two different diffusion rates and includes a center portion having a lens inner diameter and an outer portion surrounding the center portion. The lens inner diameter is about the same diameter as the diameter of the intermediate area. The outer portion is more diffuse than the center portion but allows light to be transmitted therethrough.

  • Patent number: 6342766
Abstract: A configurable power (10) module for a lamp accepts a wide variety of components and component combinations. The power module can accept a ballast (412), a capacitor (420), an ignitor (416), a voltage selector (44), a wattage selector (460), a switched quartz line lamp relay (440), and a bi-level relay (not shown). Various types and sizes of ballasts, capacitors and ignitors are accommodated. A socket (26) for the ignitor can be a GE ignitor socket. The power socket can aid field diagnostics. Mounting means (84) provided on the power module make it compatible with a wide variety of lighting fixtures.
