  • Publication number: 20180225345
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for controlling collection of data from heterogeneous data sources is disclosed. Data is extracted in a data source independent manner using at least two types of control messages to hide implementation details for the heterogeneous data sources. The method receives from the heterogeneous data sources, a request for a first control message type, which defines data to be extracted from the heterogeneous data sources. Responsive to receiving the request, the method sends a first control messages type to the heterogeneous data sources. The method receives from the heterogeneous data sources, a second control message type that includes data extracted from the heterogeneous data sources that was defined in the first control message type. The method also stores, in a data store, the received data identified in the first control message type and that was extracted from the heterogeneous data sources.

  • Patent number: 9411864
Abstract: Remote data collection systems and methods retrieve data including financial, sales, marketing, operational and the like data from a plurality of databases and database types remotely over a network in an automated, platform-agnostic manner. An Extract Transform and Load (ETL) data replication method for Chart of Account (COA) standardization includes receiving a request for remote data collection to extract data from a data source; extracting data in a non-intrusive manner from the data source, wherein the data comprises non-standard COA data; and transforming one of an entire set or a subset of the extracted data based on the request based on a template or a standardized form desired for comparisons.

  • Patent number: 8560568
Abstract: Remote data collection systems and methods retrieve data including financial, sales, marketing, operational and the like data from a plurality of databases and database types remotely over a network in an automated, platform-agnostic manner. A remote data collection system includes a network interface, a connection to a data source, a processor communicatively coupled to the network interface and the connection, and memory storing instructions for remote data collection that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive a request to extract data from the data source; extract the data in a non-intrusive manner from the data source using a two phase process comprising a reconciliation phase and a collection phase; and transmit one of an entire set and a subset of the extracted data based on the request.

  • Patent number: 8214329
Abstract: The present disclosure provides remote data collection systems and methods for retrieving data including financial, sales, marketing, operational and the like data from a plurality of databases and database types remotely over a network in an automated, platform-agnostic manner. The present invention is designed to work across a plurality of LOB applications, database vendors and business models or businesses, as well as business infrastructure (various PCs, embedded devices and POS devices) and business processes while still providing the centralized ability to automatically collect data from multiple remote business sites. The present invention includes one or more central servers communicating with a plurality of remote data collection agents.
