  • Publication number: 20210386319
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to improve a user's breathing for a specific application (e.g. diagnostic imaging, falling asleep improvement (shortening sleep onset), delivery, tinnitus control therapy, CORD, blood pressure control). This object is achieved by a breathing adaptation system configured for influencing a breathing parameter of a user's breathing pattern in order to meet a goal of decreasing or increasing the influenced breathing parameter to a certain extent in a user specific manner. The breathing adaptation system comprises a sensor, configured for monitoring a current value of the influenced breathing parameter of the user. The breathing adaptation system further comprises a feedback unit configured for providing feedback to the user about a preferred value of the influenced breathing parameter, wherein the preferred value is different from the current value of the influenced breathing parameter (310).

  • Publication number: 20200104123
Abstract: A software framework is provided for building a software-based intelligent agent. A configuration file may be written in the format of a configuration language to specify how an agent is constructed, for example by specifying a set of configuration elements and their parameters. To build the intelligent agent, the configuration file may be parsed to create an internal representation of how the agent is structured. This internal representation may be used by an agent builder to create a functional intelligent agent, e.g. one that is executable on a particular target platform. The built intelligent agent may allow its state to be retrieved, for example by the intelligent agent being capable of autonomously outputting a state file. The configuration file together with the description of the intelligent agent's state may allow a ‘stateful’ copy of the intelligent agent to be created.

  • Patent number: 8564414
Abstract: A first electronic device (201) can gather information about itself or another electronic device (206, 208), which is preferably situated within a same room of a user premises. This information can come from an RF-ID tag (204, 207, 209) or other transmitter. The information can relate to a state or identity of the other device. The first electronic device can alter program behavior (309, 409, 509) in response to the state or identity. The program might be an entertainment type program or a software type program. The information can be used to select brand specific program code (604, 605, 606) for execution.

  • Patent number: 7145606
Abstract: A method for post-synchronizing information stream includes obtaining lip-objects from a video signal. The original lip-objects are replaced with new lip-objects which correspond to a translated audio signal. The new lip-objects may be obtained by tracking a further video signal or by using a database with visemes or lip-parameters. For a multi-language information stream, a desired language may be selected at the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20040141093
Abstract: The invention provides a method for post-synchronizing an information stream. Original lip-objects (lo) are obtained (2) from a video signal (V). These original lip-objects (lo) are replaced (3,4) with new lip-objects (lo*), which correspond to a translated audio signal (A*). Lip-objects (lo) can be obtained from the video signal (V) by using an object-oriented coding technique, e.g. MEG-4. The coding standard MPEG-4 offers the facilities to manipulate the lip-objects (lo). Several configurations are presented. The new lip-objects (lo*) can be obtained by tracking a further video signal or by using a database with visemes or lip-parameters. The invention is suitable for a communication network, e.g. for video-conferencing. A multi-language information stream comprises a plurality of audio signals (A,A*) and a plurality of lip-objects (lo,lo*) that are each linked to one of the audio signals (A,A*). This gives the possibility to select at the receiver a desired language.
