  • Patent number: 12640826
Abstract: In various examples, systems and methods of dynamic channel selection for wireless communication in the presence of interference. In various examples, first interference data for a first gateway device may be determined. In some cases, a wireless transmission scheme may be switched from a static wireless transmission scheme to a frequency hopping wireless transmission scheme based on the first interference data. In some examples, the first gateway device may send first instructions indicating that the first gateway device is switching to the frequency hopping wireless transmission scheme to a first remote computing device.

  • Patent number: 12543104
Abstract: A system that improves beacon discovery by enabling a device to determine a dynamic threshold and connect to a gateway that satisfies the dynamic threshold. For example, the device may iteratively scan through available channels for a first duration of time, detecting beacon signals and storing corresponding signal strengths, then calculate a dynamic threshold value using the stored information. In some examples, the dynamic threshold value is calculated using a sum and counter implementation, with the counter incrementing with each beacon signal detected and a summing component adding the signal strength. Additionally or alternatively, the device may switch between performing first beacon discovery using a static threshold and performing second beacon discovery using a dynamic threshold. For example, the device may perform the first beacon discovery when movement of the device exceeds a threshold, while performing the second beacon discovery when movement of the device is below the threshold.

  • Patent number: 12401443
Abstract: Technologies directed to rate adaption based on both the average signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and standard deviation are described. One method includes determining an average SNR value and a standard deviation value for a first set of RSSI samples. The method determines whether the average SNR value satisfies a first threshold criterion corresponding to a minimum SNR required with a first modulation scheme and a second threshold criterion corresponding to a standard deviation threshold. The method causes a transmitter to use the first modulation scheme for a subsequent packet, responsive to the average SNR value satisfying the first threshold criterion or the standard deviation value satisfying the second threshold criterion. The method causes the transmitter to use the second modulation scheme for the subsequent packet, responsive to the average SNR value not satisfying the first threshold criterion and the standard deviation value not satisfying the second threshold criterion.

  • Publication number: 20240205703
Abstract: In various examples, systems and methods of wireless communication link adaptation are described. In some examples, first data may be determined for a first gateway device, the first data representing a plurality of received signal strength (RSS) values of a first signal received from a first end node device. Second data representing an interference associated with the first signal may be determined. At least one of a first packet error rate or a first packet success rate may be determined based at least in part on the first data and the second data. A first modulation coding scheme (MCS) associated with at least one of the first packet error rate or the first packet success rate may be determined. Third data may be sent to the first end node, the third data instructing the first end node device to use the first MCS for communication with the first gateway device.

  • Patent number: 12002444
Abstract: A system that coordinates audio output among multiple devices to perform noise cancellation in one room of noise resulting from audio output of another. The system uses information from the source of the audio output along with calibration information to coordinate the noise cancellation, which may involve delaying of audio output by the aggressor device.

  • Patent number: 11152966
Abstract: Technologies directed to digital active interference cancellation (d-AIC) for full duplex transmit-receive (TX-RX) concurrency. An integrated circuit can include first and second analog front-ends (AFE) and digital front-end (DFE) circuits and a digital AIC circuit that generates a scaled and delayed replica of a first quadrature (IQ) sample corresponding to first data transmitted by the first AFE circuit which is being coupled into the receiver as aggressor. The digital AIC circuit receives a second IQ sample from the second AFE circuit, the second IQ sample corresponding to second data being received by the second AFE circuit. The digital AIC circuit subtracts the scaled and delayed replica of the first IQ sample from the second IQ sample to obtain a third IQ sample and sends the third IQ sample to the second DFE circuit. Third IQ sample is the desired signal when d-AIC cancels the self-interference.

  • Patent number: 10931324
Abstract: Techniques for a communication device with a receiver to dynamically control the gain of an analog front end of the receiver. Rather than having a single circuit path in the analog front end, the analog front end includes multiple circuit paths, and dynamically selects one of the circuit paths that optimizes the gain of the analog front end. For example, an amplifier circuit path may be selected to amplify the power level of the signal received from the antenna. However, the analog front end may further include an attenuator circuit path that includes an attenuator to reduce the power level of a high-power input signal received from the antenna to ensure that the high-power signal is attenuated below a power level associated with saturation of the receiver.
