  • Patent number: 8349363
Abstract: There is provided a new aqueous temperature responsive delivery system made with a temperature responsive polymer and a bioadhesive which is intrinsically cationic. This system may also have an effective amount of a treating agent, which may be a medical or cosmetic agent. The bioadhesive, temperature responsive delivery system is useful in delivering moisturizers or pharmaceutically active agents to the user in controlled release manners, through the tissues in a body cavity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 2008
Date of Patent: January 8, 2013
    Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20010040136
Abstract: A glass or pretreated meltblown fiber having a cationically charged coating thereon, the coating including a functionalized cationically charged, silicon containing carbohydrate polymer crosslinkable by heat, in which the functionalized cationic polymer has been crosslinked by heat after being coated onto the glass fiber. Also provided is a fibrous filter including a fibrous filter media having a cationically charged coating thereon, the coating including a functionalized cationic polymer crosslinkable by heat, in which the functionalized cationic polymer has been crosslinked by heat after being coated onto the fibers. Further provided is a method of preparing a fibrous filter.

  • Patent number: 6110616
Abstract: Ion-conducting membranes for fuel cells are disclosed. The membrane is composed of a hydrogenated and sulfonated statistical copolymer of styrene and butadiene. A preferred membrane is obtained by hydrogenating a copolymer of styrene and butadiene to obtain less than five percent residual unsaturation, then sulfonating the polymer with an acetyl sulfate sulfonation agent to a level of at least 30 mol % percent sulfonate.
