  • Patent number: 11804703
Abstract: A mounting device for mounting a line surge arrester on a power tower includes a base having at least one fastening structure for fastening to a tower-side component, and a joint unit for positioning the line surge arrester. The joint unit has a joint for pivoting the line surge arrester about a joint axis. At least one position is a mounting position and at least one other position is a working position of the line surge arrester. The mounting device furthermore has parts of a drive mechanism. The parts are permanently connected to the base and/or to the joint, for driving the pivoting of the line surge arrester. A line surge arrester unit includes a line surge arrester and the mounting device. A method provides for mounting a line surge arrester on a power tower.

  • Publication number: 20210174991
Abstract: An insulator includes an end fitting and a connecting device disposed on the end fitting for connecting the insulator to a suspension device. The insulator also includes an additional operating device. The end fitting and the connecting device are formed in one piece. An arrangement is also provided for dissipating overvoltage using the insulator according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 10504639
Abstract: Overvoltage arresters are used to protect against overvoltages in electrical energy transmission systems. An overvoltage arrester has a discharge column which extends along a longitudinal axis and is clamped in between end fittings by a plurality of tensile elements which radially surround the discharge column and are secured in the end fittings. At least one of the end fittings has a first thread for attaching a connecting bolt. Furthermore, the end fitting has a fitting body with a second thread for receiving a pressure screw for generating an axial force on the discharge column. Accordingly the first and second threads overlap along an axial section.

  • Patent number: 10043603
Abstract: A surge arrester has a resistance column which is pressed together by one or more clamping devices. The clamping devices are each fixed at both ends of the resistance column to an end fitting by way of a fixing device. An electrically insulating housing encloses the fixing device. Each end fitting has a first contour, on which the fixing devices are arranged and which is enclosed by the housing. The end fitting also has a second contour with a smaller diameter than the first contour.
