  • Patent number: 11226622
Abstract: A system for generating at least a second trajectory for a first route section of a road comprises a first interface for receiving first data representing at least a first trajectory. The first data were recorded during travel on the first route section by at least one vehicle controlled by a human driver. The first interface is additionally configured to receive second data representing ambient conditions at the time of recording of the first trajectory, and to receive third data representing vehicle-related features present during the recording of the first trajectory. The system additionally comprises a first data processing module that performs clustering of multiple first trajectories based on associated second data and/or third data, a database for retrievably storing the results of the clustering, and a second interface for receiving a request for the transmission of a second trajectory and for corresponding transmission of the requested second trajectory.

  • Patent number: 11195410
Abstract: A method for generating a heat map of a surface area is provided. The method includes receiving sensor data from one or more sensors in communication with a hardware processor and positioned such that the surface area is within a field of view of the one or more sensors. The method also includes identifying one or more traffic participants from the sensor data. Additionally, the method includes determining one or more attributes associated with each one of the one or more traffic participants. The method includes generating the heat map based on the one or more traffic participants and the one or more attributes associated with each one of the one or more traffic participants.

  • Publication number: 20190244515
Abstract: One general aspect includes a method for displaying an augmented image including: recording data with at least one sensor at an intersection. The method also includes transmitting the data via a DSRC to a second DSRC in a vehicle proximate to the intersection; analyzing the data with a processor to determine the location of an object proximate to the intersection; and augmenting an image by bounding a portion of an image of the intersection, where the coordinates of the bounded portion corresponds to a location of the object in the intersection. The method also includes displaying the augmented image on a display in view of a vehicle operator when at least one vulnerable road user is crossing the intersection.

  • Publication number: 20190212153
Abstract: A method of operating a traffic monitoring system comprises receiving sensor data from one or more sensors in communication with a hardware processor, identifying one or more traffic participants from the sensor data, determining one or more attributes associated with each one of the one or more traffic participants, generating a sensor list of the one or more traffic participants, where the sensor list includes identifiers and attributes associated with each of the one or more traffic participants, receiving an object list from the one or more traffic participants, where the object list includes identifiers and attributes for the associated one or more traffic participants. The traffic monitoring system also includes comparing the sensor list with the object list, generating a map from the comparison, generating an updated object list from the comparison and the map, and broadcasting the updated object list.
