  • Publication number: 20240346645
Abstract: A method is disclosed for processing photoacoustic images, this method including: obtaining a time series of images of a sample, the images being acquired by a photoacoustic imaging system at Mx excitation-pulse wavelengths, with N images acquired per wavelength; performing multispectral spatio-temporal filtering via singular value decomposition applied to all of the N*Mx acquired images so as to obtain N*Mx filtered images; for each wavelength, computing a filtered variance image based on the N filtered images, a pixel of coordinate r in the filtered variance image being equal to the variance of the distribution of the values of pixels of same coordinate r in the filtered images obtained for this wavelength; and correcting the filtered variance image by subtracting a variance of the residual electronic noise after the multispectral spatio-temporal filtering has been performed, the noise being produced by the sensors of ultrasonic waves of the photoacoustic imaging system.

  • Publication number: 20150320394
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for improved generation and application of radiation force to a material. In one aspect, a system for producing an acoustic radiation force to generate displacement in a material comprises an ultrasonic transducer array, one or more processors, and memory. The memory can comprise instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to generate a push acoustic energy focused to a push focal region in the material using the ultrasonic transducer array, so as to produce the acoustic radiation force to generate displacement in the material. The push focal region can comprise a first width along a first direction transverse to a direction of propagation of the push acoustic energy greater than a second width along a second direction transverse to the direction of propagation of the push acoustic energy.

  • Publication number: 20150151141
Abstract: Device for focusing pulses comprising at least emitting means comprising a network of transducers, these emitting means being adapted to make the network of transducers emit, into a reflective cavity, at least one wave focused onto at least one target point of a target medium. The reflective cavity comprises a multi-scattering medium adapted to cause multiple scattering of said wave.
