  • Publication number: 20170001882
Abstract: Disclosed are processes to treat water having halide ions and organohalides. The process comprises contacting a plant biomass with an alkaline solution to give an alkaline plant biomass, and contacting the alkaline plant biomass with water to give a biomass material. An aqueous sample with organohalides or halide ions is contacted with the biomass material to provide a low halide filtrate and a spent biomass.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: January 5, 2017
Applicant: INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KHARAGPUR
Inventors: Debasis ROY, Suvendu MANNA, Ramkrishna SEN, Basudam ADHIKARI, Prosenjit SAHA
  • Patent number: 9334384
Abstract: The invention is concerned with the field of polymer chemistry and relates to elastomeric materials as usable, for example, as an inner liner material for motor vehicle tires, and to the use thereof. The problem addressed by the present invention consists in specifying elastomeric materials having relatively low gas permeability. The problem is solved by elastomeric materials comprising butyl and/or halobutyl rubbers or mixtures thereof, with 1 to 20 phr of at least one liquid imidazolium salt and with 1 to 40 phr of at least one filler having a graphitic structure. The problem is additionally solved by the use of the inventive elastomeric materials for elastomer materials having low to very low gas permeability.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2013
Date of Patent: May 10, 2016
Assignee: LEIBNIZ-INSTITUT FUER POLYMERFORSCHUNG DRESDEN E.V.
Inventors: Prabhu Kavimani Nagar, René Jurk, Klaus Werner Stoeckelhuber, Amit Das, Andreas Leuteritz, Gert Heinrich, Basudam Adhikari
