  • Publication number: 20190272027
Abstract: A method for rendering an image in a virtual reality environment includes capturing volume data with a capturing device, storing the volume data in a memory, detecting a movement of a user with a tracking device, generating tracking data representing the movement of the user, setting rendering parameters for rendering the image, rendering the image from the volume data based on the rendering parameters, detecting a measure of the movement of the user based on the tracking data, and adapting the rendering parameters depending on the measure of the movement of the user. A system for rendering the image includes a tracking device, a communication interface, a memory, and a processor which sets rendering parameters, renders the image from the volume data based on the rendering parameters, detects a measure of the movement of the user, and adapts the rendering parameters depending on the measure of the movement.
