Abstract: Solid cosmetic composition in the form of a molded powder cake includes a particulate charge containing hollow microspheres having one or more open or closed cavities. The weight proportion of the hollow microspheres ranges from 0.1 to 50 percent relative to the total weight of the composition. A process for the preparation of the composition and the use of such a particulate charge, dispersed in a non-aqueous liquid vehicle, for the preparation of a fluid paste intended for the preparation of such a solid cosmetic composition is also disclosed.

Abstract: A cosmetic make-up composition containing, in a suitable cosmetic carrier, a transparent pigment consisting of at least 60 wt % laminar titanium oxide and at most 10 wt % silicon oxide, wherein the average pigment size is 1-300 .mu.m and the thickness is 0.001-0.3 .mu.m. Excellent cosmetic properties regarding pearlizing, coverage, spreadability and smoothness are obtained.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition in the form of a compacted powder contains charges or pigments, or both, and hollow microspheres of a thermoplastic synthetic material having a specific mass ranging from 0.01 to 0.1 g/cm.sup.3 and having a size less than 30 .mu.m, the composition being free of acyl lysine.
