  • Publication number: 20250108657
Abstract: A flat embossed printing machine for embossing a flat material includes a flatbed press having a tool plate and an embossing table, a foil web guidance and transport device for guiding at least one embossing foil web over the embossing table of the flatbed press along a foil transport path, a flat material guidance for guiding a flat material through the flatbed press along a flat material transport path, and a control device for operating the flat embossed printing machine. The foil web guidance and transport device subsequently to the flatbed press considered in the transport direction of the flat material includes a peel-away element, arranged above the flat material transport path as well as behind the foil transport path, for holding back and peeling the embossing foil web away from the flat material on transporting the flat material away out of the flatbed press.

  • Patent number: 8196307
Abstract: The register insertion apparatus for sheet-fed embossing machines with position sensors (S1, S2, S3) for detecting printing marks (P1, P2, P3) of a sheet (5), comprises a register plate (15) capable of being pivoted down as feeder table with ventilation openings (20) and vacuum feed lines (21) to a suction apparatus (22) and front stops (12), which are capable of being lowered and actuators (L1, L2, L3) for positioning the register plate in X-direction and in Y-direction. With a register controller (11) the register plate (15) is pivoted down, a gripper bar (8) is brought up to it, the register plate pivoted up again, then a sheet (5) is fed-in and stopped at the front stops (12). Thereupon the register plate is evacuated for sucking on and fixing the sheet on the register plate.

  • Patent number: 7424903
Abstract: A foil web installation for a flat bed embossing machine with foil webs (6), which are conducted across an embossing table (3) from unwinding rolls (7) comprises a braking—and guiding wall (10) ahead of the embossing table and foil feeding devices (9) for several foil webs after the embossing table. Between the unwinding rolls (7) and the embossing table (3) at least one flat braking—and guiding wall (10) acts as a foil tensioning device. This latter element comprises a fixed supporting layer (11) as supporting surface with suction openings (14), a cloth-like contacting layer permeable to air (12) lying on top of it and a flat vacuum chamber (17) with an adjustable vacuum source (13) assigned to it, wherein foil webs (6) are pressed against the braking—and guiding wall (10) and braked as a result of this. This makes possible a foil web installation simple to adjust, easy on the foil web for achieving high embossing performances with the best quality as well as short retooling times.

  • Patent number: 5979308
Abstract: A flat embossing machine for flat material (5) to be embossed has a flat press (2), an embossing table (3) and a tool plate (4). At least one foil web (6) passes through foil loop stores (10, 20) each with a differential pressure device (30) for shaping a foil loop (12) with an air pressure difference exerted on the foil web. A foil feed device (24) and a tensioning device (25) are on each side of the flat press and a foil feed control (52) operates in synchronism with the press cycle so that the foil web is stopped during the embossing phase (TP) on the embossing table (3) and is advanced to the next embossing position during the embossing-free phase. Speed differences between the feed speed (VV) at the embossing location and web speed (V7) at the unwinding roll or at the removal device (V8) are compensated for by corresponding increases and decreases in the size of the loops (L1, L2) in the foil stores. This allows high embossing speeds with optimum quality.

  • Patent number: 4890359
Abstract: The apparatus monitors lap formation at a pair of rolls guiding a slubbing or sliver in a drafting arrangement for spinning machines. In the event of a lap or coil forming, for example, on a pressure roll, a piston rod of a piston is shifted away until a switching element touches a contact edge or region of a switching sleeve. A cylinder housing encircling the switching sleeve and otherwise electrically separated from the piston is thus short-circuited with the piston. Since the switching sleeve and piston are separately connected to a control unit, a switching function is effected in the control unit by this short-circuit and the drafting arrangement is thereby stopped. The switching sleeve is slidably guided on a guide rod mounted at an upper part in such a manner that the frictional resistance is greater than the weight of the switching sleeve.
