  • Publication number: 20150257892
Abstract: An expandable intervertebral implant (10) includes superior (20) and inferior (30) bone contacting members and at least one vertical wire netting (50) interconnecting the superior and inferior bone contacting members. The superior and inferior bone contacting members include at least two bone contacting components interconnected via one or more lateral wire nettings such that the implant is vertically and laterally expandable in situ from a first insertion configuration to a second expanded configuration. The vertical and lateral wire netting are preferably constructed of a plurality of individual link members. The present invention also preferably relates to an associated method of manufacturing the intervertebral implant such that the intervertebral implant can be manufactured as an integral component or part.

  • Patent number: 9107745
Abstract: A graft anchor has first and second arms each having a leading end, a trailing end, an inner surface, and an outer bone contactable surface. The graft anchor also has a resilient bridge extending between the inner surface of the first arm and the inner surface of the second arm to space apart the first arm and the second arm. The resilient bridge defines a graft receiving pathway between the inner surfaces of the first and second arms. The resilient bridge also defines a deflection point about which a force acting upon the resilient bridge in a direction from the leading end to the trailing end causes the leading ends of the first and second arms to move toward one another and the trailing ends of the first and second arms to move away from one another.

  • Publication number: 20150025631
Abstract: Methods and devices for positioning and securing ligament grafts are provided. In general, the devices and methods utilize an implant having a particular outer surface profile and a bone tunnel having a complementary profile to provide a form fit between the implant and bone that utilizes friction to position and secure a ligament graft within the bone. Such an implant can be used in conjunction with a variety of ligament grafts, including hamstring ligament grafts. In addition, an “outside in” approach can be utilized with the implant to minimize the risk of damaging adjacent tissue during an operation and provide enhanced surgeon control. The devices and methods can be utilized in connection with repairing or replacing ligaments in a variety of joints, but can in some embodiments have particular utility in cruciate ligament reconstruction procedures.
