  • Patent number: 9390605
Abstract: An auxiliary device for a hazard alarm constructed as a point type detector, in particular for a smoke alarm or smoke gas alarm. The device is a separate unit that can be attached to the hazard alarm and is provided to monitor the function thereof. It has a transmitting unit and/or a receiving unit for the detection of objects in the vicinity of the hazard alarm. The auxiliary device monitors smoke inlet openings of the hazard alarm. An arrangement containing the hazard alarm and the auxiliary device attached thereto and matched thereto in terms of construction and/or connections is also provided. The auxiliary device of this kind is used for monitoring the vicinity of the hazard alarm for current-shielding objects, for monitoring an inlet opening of the hazard alarm for contamination and optionally for monitoring the function of an acoustic alarm signaling device of the hazard alarm.

  • Patent number: 9013321
Abstract: A bipole is fitted in a warning system socket for removably receiving a hazard warning system in order to set one of at least two operating modes of the hazard warning system. An electric characteristic of the bipole can be read out electrically by an electronic control of the hazard warning system via two electric contact pairs which are in contact with each other in the received state of the hazard warning system. In particular, the bipole is used via at least one pair of electric contacts, the pair being generally provided for externally connecting an optical and/or acoustic alarm emitter, in order to read in the electric characteristic of the bipole. The bipole is preferably a passive electric resistor.

  • Patent number: 6301037
Abstract: A system for operating a laser transmitting system for optical space communications, in particular in combination with the generation of amplified laser light under space conditions. The optical laser transmitting system here consists of a laser 2, acting as an optical oscillator, and an optical semiconductor amplifier 6 which are connected with each other by a polarization-maintaining optical fiber 4, or alternatively by an optical space connection. A light beam 8 exiting from the optical semiconductor amplifier 6 is converted via a special optical lens system 10 into a collimated light beam 12 with an even lateral extension and is radiated after further optical conversions.
