  • Patent number: 11123765
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of granulated seed comprising seed kernels which are coated with a coating layer, the process comprising the following steps: providing seed kernels, applying a binder to the seed kernels, giving rise to seed kernels coated with a binder, and applying a coating composition comprising silica to the seed kernels coated with binder, giving rise to seed kernels coated with a coating layer. The invention furthermore relates to the use of silica as component of the coating layer of granulated seed for improving the germination ability of the seed. The invention furthermore relates to granulated seed, comprising seed kernels coated with a coating layer, characterized in that the coating layer comprises silica and that the silica is distributed within the entire coating layer.

  • Patent number: 5494488
Abstract: A detergent composition with improved dirt-suspending power, method for its production and use of a suitable polycarboxylate for this purpose. The novel detergent contains, in addition to the customary components such as surfactant, calcium-binding silicate, etc., at least 1% by weight of a polycarboxylate with the schematic structure (X, Y, Z) in which X stands for ##STR1## Y for ##STR2## and Z for--(F).sub.q --.These carboxylates can be produced from acrolein and optionally one or several comonomers by means of oxidizing radical donors without saponifying conditions and/or without subsequent Cannizzaro reaction. The novel detergents exhibits improvements over traditionally used co-builders in all essential detergent qualities. The carboxylates may be used in detergents, fine-fabric detergents, color detergents, liquid detergents and compact detergents.
