  • Publication number: 20020085208
Abstract: An interferometer system is disclosed. The system includes a radiation source for emitting radiation of a predetermined coherence length. The system also includes a device for splitting a beam emitted from the radiation source into a first partial beam and a second partial beam, and for subsequent superposition of the two partial beams, wherein optical path lengths of the two partial beams differ by a predetermined length difference (d1) between splitting and superposition, which length difference is greater than the coherence length. The system also includes a beam transmitting arrangement for directing the superimposed partial beams towards two optically effective, especially partially reflecting structures which are disposed at a distance (d2) from each other, wherein a first of the two structures is provided by the beam transmitting arrangement.
