    Abstract: A hearing aid assembly is provided. The assembly includes a housing sized and configured for insertion within an ear canal of a user. Electronics are disposed within the housing for amplifying sound. A sound receiving structure is provided for operatively transferring sound waves to the electronics. The sound receiving structure has a first end operatively connected with the electronics and a second end extending outwardly from the housing at a position horizontally forward of the ear canal for receiving sound waves emanating from a position generally forward of the user.
