  • Publication number: 20260204209
Abstract: A organic light emitting diode (OLED) digital display device operating a firmware level digital display device protective compensation process activity determination system may comprise a hardware processor executing machine readable code instructions to periodically gather pixel value data in pixel grid zones that each comprise a plurality of pixels to determine changes in zone wide pixel value averages for each of the pixel grid zones as a measure of OLED display screen panel activity, and automatically trigger a digital display device protective compensation system to adjust and modify degraded pixels for the OLED digital display device when the changes in zone wide pixel value averages for the pixel grid zones does not meet or exceed an average pixel value change threshold value or aborts the digital display device protective compensation if exceeded. The digital display device protective compensation system may be scheduled during a predicted input/output device inactivity window.

  • Patent number: 12658159
Abstract: A digital display device comprises a digital signal processing hardware controller to execute machine readable code instructions to display a video signal generated by a graphics processing unit (GPU) of an operably connected information handling system at a first display resolution. The digital signal processing hardware controller executes machine readable code instructions of a rapid manual monitor display mode adjustment system to receive a user instruction, via a user manipulating a manual joystick directional device onboard the digital display device to select a dual resolution mode toggle selection button within an on screen display (OSD) control guide for rapidly switching between two defined display resolutions or to select a user selected resolution mode from an OSD menu to identify an updated resolution onboard the digital display device and to automatically transmit a single byte notification to instruct the GPU to generate the video signal with the updated display resolution.

  • Patent number: 11756502
Abstract: According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a system and method for providing fast response time performance with low latency in Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a controller and a memory coupled to the controller, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the controller to receive LCD display capability information from a display device, and determine from the received capability information, that a video stream sent to the display device has a lower frame rate than the capabilities of the display device. Using this information the instructions then increase the frame rate of the video stream by repeating each frame during a current time window of the frame.

  • Patent number: 6748019
Abstract: A method for use in a real-time video encoder based on two processing means to optimise the use of computing power of the processing means. This is achieved by dynamically load-balancing between two processing means. The load pattern is determined with measures for the progress of motion estimation in one processing means and the idle time in the other. Adaptive adjustment of load balancing is fulfilled via making a decision on whether the DCT/IDCT/Quantization/Dequantization sub-process is skipped for a macroblock. The invention is not constrained to particular motion estimation techniques.
