  • Publication number: 20130063813
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of improving color quality in anaglyphs. Stereo pair images are viewed using a filter of one primary color on the side corresponding to the side of the same color primary filter used in recording the anaglyph. The other side, corresponding to the side recorded using color filter of the remaining primary colors, has only a fixed or adjustable neutral density filter that matches the luminosity to that of the one primary color filter. Retinal rivalry suppresses the one primary color image on the side of the less luminous neutral density filter image, thus generating full stereopis. Since the side with the neutral density filter perceives all of the primary colors, the color gamut is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20120277527
Abstract: The present invention discloses an LCD device and viewing eyewear for obtaining stereoscopic images with conventional single optic channel endoscope using a single lens camera. LCD device comprises two segments each of which is activated by a controller through a wired or wireless connection and is installed between the endoscope and camera without affecting the optic path length. Images are viewed on a standard monitor using eyewear comprising LCD shutters on the left and the right side which are synchronized to the segments in the LCD device by a controller. The LCD shutters on the eyewear are in the upper inner field of vision of each eye. This allows the user, usually a surgeon, to have stereoscopic view when looking at the monitor, but clear view when he has to look at the operative field. The disclosed eyewear has a sterile attachment that the surgeon can use for mounting, un-mounting or adjusting the eyewear.

  • Publication number: 20120249737
Abstract: The present invention discloses a device for obtaining stereoscopic images with conventional single optic channel endoscope using a single lens camera. The device comprises of an aperture each half of which is covered with complimentary additive and subtractive color filters and is installed between the endoscope and camera. The filters can be transversely adjusted to center on the principal ray so as to obtain optimal stereopsis. Images are viewed on a standard monitor using eyewear comprising the same complimentary additive and subtractive color filters on the left and the right side, or on specialized video monitors using active or passive polarized glasses.

  • Publication number: 20020079034
Abstract: A handy device for retrieving a vehicle stuck in a snow bank with a metal shoe about the width of a tire and roughly conforming the radial curvature of the tire, multiple conical sharp or blunt projections on the under surface of the metal shoe that increase traction on snow or ice, a side plate attached to one side of the shoe at one end and with a hole at the other end, and, a right angled bar, one side of which has multiple small holes and passes through the hole in the side plate and other side of which passes through the existing gaps in the wheel rim, and, a metal pin that locks the angled bar into the hole in the side plate. A preferred embodiment includes wherein the side plate and the angled bar are laminated with plastic or such poor conductor of cold. An alternative embodiment includes wherein the side plate is hinged to the metal shoe on one side with or without the other side fixed through a hinge to the rim of the wheel.
