Abstract: A method for processing handwriting input includes determining a first boundary point and a second boundary point corresponding to each target track point, forming an enclosed area by connecting all first boundary points determined for all target track points, connecting all second boundary points determined for all the target track points, connecting the first boundary point corresponding to the first target track point with the second boundary point corresponding to the first target track point, and connecting the first boundary point corresponding to the last target track point with the second boundary points corresponding to the last target track point, and filling the enclosed area.

Abstract: A method for rasterizing a transparent page comprises interpreting the transparent page to obtain graphic entities, transparency properties of the graphic entities, and profile information of the graphic entities; dividing the transparent page into a transparent area and a nontransparent area according to the transparency properties of the graphic entities; identifying, from the graphic entities, an overlapping graphic entity having an overlapping portion with the transparent area according to the profile information of the graphic entities; and dividing the transparent area into a de-transparentizing area and an ultimate transparent area by using the overlapping graphic entity.

Abstract: A method for adjusting spacing between characters comprises determining a character pair from a font kit. The character pair comprises two characters and has a spacing value. The method further comprises acquiring glyph outline data of the character pair, plotting the glyph outline data of the character pair, displaying the character pair on an interface, adjusting the spacing value from a first spacing value to a second spacing value, and changing, while adjusting the spacing value, a spacing between the two characters displayed on the interface along with a change of the spacing value.

Abstract: A method for improving a speed of rasterizing transparent images, comprising determining, from P graphic entity objects on a transparent page, M transparent images and N nontransparent images. Each of the N nontransparent images includes an intersecting area with one of the M transparent images, P is an integer larger than 0, M is an integer larger than 0 and smaller than or equal to P, N is an integer larger than or equal to 0 and smaller than P, and P=M+N. The method also comprises determining a page-level transparent area and a page-level de-transparentizing area of the P graphic entity objects. Contributions of the transparent images and the nontransparent images to the page-level transparent area and the page-level de-transparentizing area are calculated using different methods. The methods further comprises assembling the M transparent images according to the page-level transparent area and the page-level de-transparentizing area.

Abstract: Techniques, devices and systems for publishing digital contents such as encyclopedia are provided. One method for such digital publishing includes obtaining entries of encyclopedic resource files; indexing attributes of each of the entries by using preset indexing rules; reorganizing the entries based on the attributes; and publishing the reorganized entries by applying a preset template.
