Abstract: An on-body assembly is described. The on-body assembly includes an electronics module with a top case and a bottom case. The assembly further includes a base with a clip to retain the electronics module. The base also has an interior base that includes a sensor platform, a sensor channel formed between the sensor platform and a base aperture, and a retention tab located over the sensor channel. The assembly also includes a sensor with a proximal end, a mid-portion and a distal end. The proximal end is coupled to the sensor platform, the mid-portion is positioned within the sensor channel, and the distal end extends through the base aperture.

Abstract: In one embodiment an insertion assembly to implant a sensor is disclosed. The insertion device includes an encasement with an interior defined between an encasement top and an encasement bottom. The assembly further includes a slider with a slider top and a slider bottom face. The slider top is located within the interior of encasement and the slider initially is in a first position, capable of transitioning to a second position and further capable of transitioning to a third position. Wherein in the first position the slide bottom face is coincident with the encasement bottom, in the second position the slide bottom face is fully contained in the interior, and in the third position, the slide bottom face extends beyond the encasement bottom by a gap.

Abstract: In one embodiment a system to monitor an analyte and dispense an infusate is disclosed. The system includes an on-body assembly with a first piece and a second piece. The first piece contains a sensor and a cannula and the cannula is in fluid communication with a first piece fluid channel. The second piece contains a pump mechanism connected to a second piece fluid channel. When the first piece is coupled to the second piece, the first piece fluid channel is placed in fluid communication with the second piece fluid channel to establish fluid transport from the pump mechanism through the cannula.
