  • Publication number: 20240142247
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a dynamic routing system, comprising a memory that stores computer executable components, and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory, wherein the computer executable components comprise a first receiving component that receives information of a trip comprising a destination and departure information, and an optimal routing component that determines an optimal routing based on current conditions, user preferences for charging stations, primary user's driving habits, battery's state of health, financial impact, and availability of charging stations at the time of receiving the trip information. At the time of trip set up, the system can make reservations for charging at the charging station requiring a reservation. During the trip, if the system requires a change to the reservation, the system establishes communication with the charging station and adjusts the reservation.

  • Patent number: 11459117
Abstract: Technologies for drone-based cameras to detect proper wind direction for landing are described. One aerial vehicle can determine that it is in a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) orientation and capture an image of a landing-pad device using the camera. The aerial vehicle can detect a visual marker in the image and can determine a wind direction, at a location of the landing page, from the visual marker. The wind direction is used by a propulsion subsystem to align the aerial vehicle into the wind direction for landing.

  • Publication number: 20220255167
Abstract: A battery cell comprising a flexible housing, a first and second electrode, an electrolyte and at least one seal region. The flexible housing includes a perimeter seal at which the housing is sealed around its perimeter. The first and second electrode each comprise a first region and a second region protruding from the first region, wherein the first and second regions of the first and second electrodes are situated within the flexible housing. The electrolyte is situated between the first region of the first electrode and the first region of the second electrode. The first regions of the first and second electrodes and the electrolyte are arranged to define an electrochemical zone housed within the flexible housing. The second regions of the first and second electrodes protrude from the electrochemical zone. The at least one seal region comprises a region in which internal surfaces of the flexible housing are sealed together.

  • Patent number: 5593770
Abstract: Chemorheologically viscosity tailored matrix resin formulations for use in forming prepregs and composite articles are disclosed. These formulations have a specified viscosity profile obtained from a curable matrix resin and an effective amount of a reactive resin curing agent reactive at room temperature and a latent resin curing agent substantially nonreactive at room temperature. The latent resin curing agent is activated upon heating or radiation. The matrix resin formulation is adapted upon formulation to have a viscosity sufficiently low enough to enable the matrix resin to impregnate fibers or broadgoods at room temperature without the necessity for the application of heat or solvent and which, upon standing at room temperature after impregnation into the fibers or broadgoods to form a prepreg composition, rises in viscosity.

  • Patent number: 5545278
Abstract: Composite pressure vessels having improved fiber strength translation of the unidirectional, axial, impregnated strand are obtained by a process in which chemorheologically viscosity tailored matrix resin formulations containing surface-active agents or compounds acting as surface-active agents are employed. The use of chemorheologically viscosity tailored matrix resin formulations containing surface-active agents reduces the strength variation of pressure vessels produced from prepregs of the disclosed matrix resin formulations.

  • Patent number: 5356499
Abstract: Composite pressure vessels having improved fiber strength translation of the unidirectional, axial, impregnated strand or tow strength delivered in tensile strength of hoop fibers of the composite pressure vessel are obtained by a process in which chemorheologically viscosity tailored matrix resin formulations containing surface-active agents or compounds acting as surface-active agents are employed. The use of chemorheologically viscosity tailored matrix resin formulations containing such agents in such a process also reduces the strength variation of pressure vessels produced from prepreg of the matrix resin formulations containing surface-active agents or compounds acting as surface-active agents.
