Abstract: A device used for deploying and retrieving tethers. The device includes one or more coiling elements, on which tethers are wound on or from. A tethers-engaging panel is an element to which tethers are connected and held. The panel is located on the coiling element, and can also be removable. In that way tethers can initially be attached to the panel, and only after that the panel is put on the coiling element. Similarly, after deploying tethers, the panel can be detached from its place on the coiling element and after that tethers can be detached from the panel and attached to the kite.
