Abstract: A modular building unit has an interior space and is placed with other modular building units to form a building. The unit includes a first modular section having a first floor frame and a first wall frame extending up from the first floor frame. The first modular section defines a first portion of the interior space of the unit. The first floor frame underlies the first portion of the interior space of the unit. A second modular section includes a second floor frame and a second wall frame extending up from the second floor frame. The second modular section defines a second portion of the interior space of the unit. The second floor frame underlies the second portion of the interior space of the unit. A connection couples the first and second modular sections to one another. The first and second floor frames being generally coplanar with one another.

Abstract: A control system for a horizontal directional drill includes a user interface, a locator tool, and a controller. The user interface has a first display and a second display. The locator tool measures the rotational position of a drill head of the horizontal directional drill. The controller determines an estimated rotational position of the drill head. The first display is in communication with the locator tool and displays information about the measured rotational position of the drill head. The second display is in communication with the controller and displays information about the estimated rotational position of the drill head. The control system includes means for calibrating the estimated rotational position of the drill head to substantially match the measured rotational position of the drill head.

Abstract: A module building unit and associated components and methods for building. A modular building unit for use forming a portion of a building having other modular building units includes a plurality of beams and a column assembly attached to one or more beams of the plurality of beams. The column assembly includes an elongate interior sized and shaped to permit one or more tension cables to extend therein. A first cable mount is disposed in the elongate interior and is arranged to mount a first tension cable coupled to an underlying modular building unit of said other modular building units in the elongate interior. A second cable mount is disposed in the elongate interior and is arranged to mount a second tension cable coupled to an overlying modular building unit of said other modular building units in the elongate interior.
