  • Patent number: 10429555
Abstract: An automobile headlamp comprising a light source; a photochromic lens; and a one-way mirror positioned between the light source and the photochromic lens such that when viewing the light source through the photochromic lens, the one-way mirror conceals at least a portion of the light source.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 1, 2019
    Inventor: Ben George Acheff
  • Patent number: 9984095
Abstract: Methods and systems for handling lock state information between a first storage system node and a second storage system node coupled via a network link are provided. The second storage system node stores lock state information at a storage device previously managed by the first storage system node and notifies the first storage system node of a storage device location where the lock state information is stored. The second storage system node then transfers ownership of the storage device to the first storage system node that copies the lock state information from the storage device location to a memory location managed by the first storage system node. The first storage system node uses the lock state information to reconstruct any locks for storage space presented to a client and then processes client requests for reading and writing information at the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20060089874
Abstract: The present invention relates to computer implemented loyalty or loyalty provider methods and systems for generating income for a beneficiary organisation and/or loyalty points using purchases by an individual, company or other entity (generally referred to as a consumer). In another aspects, it also relates to a code carried by a signal or held on a carrier medium which provides a display element and/or webpage for a consumer. Embodiments of the invention link both loyalty points (or other rewards) which are earned by the consumer and donation to a beneficiary with any goods or services purchased and provide a graphical display for potential and accumulated loyalty points and/or donation.

  • Patent number: 6416200
Abstract: A tread area and step edge illumination system is disclosed which comprises a base member configured for attachment to an exposed edge or surface of a step or stair. The base member has a downwardly projecting rearward wall and a forwardly and downwardly extending forward wall portion, a downwardly facing opening being defined between the rearward and forward walls. A light strip assembly having an elongate light strip with a number of longitudinally spaced-apart miniature lights, for example prefocused LED's, mounted to the strip. The light strip assembly is detachably mounted to the base member so that light from the miniature lights on the light strip is directed downwardly through the downwardly facing opening when the lights are lit, the light strip assembly being mounted to the base member so that the light strip assembly can be selectively adjusted through an angle of about 60° to enable selective adjustment of the direction of light from the light strip assembly.

The base member has a downwardly projecting rearward wall and a forwardly and downwardly extending forward wall portion, a downwardly facing opening being defined between the rearward and forward walls. A light strip assembly having an elongate light strip with a number of longitudinally spaced-apart miniature lights, for example pre-focused LED's, mounted to the strip. The light strip assembly is detachably mounted to the base member so that light from the miniature lights on the light strip is directed downwardly through the downwardly facing opening when the lights are lit, the light strip assembly being mounted to the base member so that the light strip assembly can be selectively adjusted through an angle of about 60.degree. to enable selective adjustment of the direction of light from the light strip assembly.
