Patent number: 11504830Abstract: An accessory for use with a rotary power tool having a rotatable spindle and a first mating member. The accessory includes a housing having a body and a plurality of arms extending therefrom, a ball detent selectively engagable with the spindle to lock the accessory to the power tool, a sleeve slidable along the arms between a first position in which the sleeve biases the ball detent into engagement with the spindle to axially secure the accessory to the tool, and a second position in which the ball detent is disengageable from the spindle to release the accessory from the tool, and a second mating member coupled to the arms of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2021Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: MILWAUKEE ELECTRIC TOOL CORPORATIONInventors: Ben Gordon, Peter Malak, John L. Patent number: 11309769Abstract: A disclosed electrical generator includes a housing, an actuator, a rotatable member, a stator, a rotor, an electrical circuit, and a current controller. The actuator is movable relative to the housing and the rotatable member is also rotatable relative to the housing. The rotatable member cooperates with the actuator such that movement of the actuator causes rotation of the rotatable member. The stator is fixed relative to the housing and the rotor receives rotational kinetic energy from the rotatable member. Movement of the rotor relative to the stator generates electromagnetic induction in the rotor and/or the stator which produces a three-phase alternating current. The electrical circuit includes a rectifier that converts the alternating current to a direct current. The current controller regulates the direct current to thereby generate a fixed constant direct current.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2017Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: PAVEGEN SYSTEMS LIMITEDInventors: Craig Webster, Ben Gordon

Publication number: 20190238028Abstract: An electrical generator configured to convert kinetic energy into electrical energy. The electrical generator comprises: a housing; an actuator movable relative to the housing; and a rotatable member being rotatable relative to the housing and configured to cooperate with the actuator such that movement of the actuator causes rotation of the rotatable member. The electrical generator further comprises: a stator fixedly attached to the housing; and a rotor configured to receive rotational kinetic energy from the rotatable member. The rotor and stator are configured to interact such that rotation of the rotor relative to the stator results in electromagnetic induction in the rotor and/or the stator which produces three- phase alternating current. The electrical generator further comprises: an electronic circuit comprising a rectifier configured to convert the alternating current to direct current; and a current controller configured to regulate the direct current to be a fixed constant current.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2017Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventors: Craig Webster, Ben Gordon

Patent number: 6390122Abstract: A fluid flow control valve comprises a housing defining a fluid flow passage extending longitudinally therethrough, the housing having opposite ends each defining an opening for flow into and out of the fluid flow passage, and an orifice and diaphragm disposed in the housing. The orifice has a seat at one end thereof facing the diaphragm. The diaphragm has one end face that opposes the seat of the orifice, the seat being configured such that one or more flow control passages are defined between the seat and the one end face of the diaphragm through which the fluid flows. The seat is contoured to include at least two different shapes of channels each promoting localized bending of the diaphragm at a different pressure differential, thereby permitting an expansion of the working pressure range to very low pressure differentials.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2000Date of Patent: May 21, 2002Assignee: Hays Fluid Controls, a division of ROMAC Industries, Inc.Inventors: GangFu Zhang, James H.
