Abstract: A system provides a charging and a connection for a mobile unit. The system includes a housing of a mobile unit that couples to a latch. The housing comprises a loop and a panel. The loop is disposed on a top portion of the housing and receives a hook of the latch. The panel is disposed on a back portion of the housing and receives a corresponding panel of the latch. The panel includes a first set of electrical contacts that couple to a second set of electrical contacts of the corresponding panel to establish an electrical connection.

Abstract: A cradle and a cradle lock for a mobile device having a receiving portion to receive at least a portion of a body of the mobile device, the mobile device being inserted into the receiving portion in an insertion direction and a cradle electrical contact electrically coupling with a corresponding mobile device electrical contact, the cradle electrical contact being deformed by physical contact with the mobile device electrical contact, wherein the cradle electrical contact applies a force to the corresponding mobile device electrical contact in a direction substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction.

Abstract: Described is a retention mechanism for a mobile terminal. The retention mechanism comprises a frame configured to receive the mobile terminal, where the frame includes channels. The retention mechanism also comprises a release lever configured to receive a wearable accessory, where the release lever includes rails. The frame is one of releasably and permanently coupled to the release lever by inserting the channels of the frame in the rails of the release lever.
