    Abstract: A stretcher pad for use with a stretcher in transporting a body from one location to at least another location in a generally horizontal position. The stretcher pad may improve pressure distribution to the body being transported by the stretcher. The stretcher generally comprises a wheeled frame for rolling the stretcher over a surface and transporting the body from one location to at least another location. A generally elongate pad is supported by the wheeled frame for receiving the body in a generally horizontal position on the stretcher. A pressure management insert is disposed at least partly within the pad for supporting at least part of a trunk of the body on the stretcher.
