Patent number: 8726327Abstract: A P2P network has a content provider and a plurality of peers viewing the same video streaming channel. Each peer has a P2P live streaming system. In an exemplary system, a token manager module manages at least a token sent by the plurality of peer nodes, notifies a recording manager module to publish recorded media stream content, and to record media stream data. The recording manager module, according to the notification, manages a corresponding buffer for each peer node itself, records the media stream content into the corresponding buffer and publishes the recorded media stream content information to the P2P network. A P2P module handles the P2P messages and maintains the P2P network topology for the plurality of peer nodes.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2011Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Yu-Ben Miao, Ce-Kuen Shieh, Tzu-Chi Huang, Chiuan-Yu Wei, Ben-Wen Luo, Ping-Chun Tseng

Patent number: 8617304Abstract: A bio-based coating for a building automatically transmits or reflects heat gain from infrared sunlight. The coating is composed of bio-based polymerized oil and a catalyst that is also a thermochromic material. The catalyst reduces the temperature for polymerization of the oil to create a suspension that forms a hardened mixture when cooled below about 100 degrees Centigrade. The thermochromic properties of the catalyst are operable to switch the hardened mixture from transparent to reflective of infrared light when the temperature rises above a switching temperature in an approximate range of 18 degrees Centigrade to 35 degrees Centigrade. The method of using the coating involves spraying a hot bio-based coating on the roof surface and allowing it to cool. The method of making involves heating the suspension to a reaction temperature, holding at the reaction temperature, and, introducing an air flow through the mixture at the reaction temperature.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2010Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Inventors: Ben Wen, Jessica Peng Zhang

Patent number: 7595148Abstract: This invention provides novel methods and compositions for modulating T cell differentiation and T cell responses. The modulators are identified by screening test compounds for ability to modulate an inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate 3-kinase (IP3K). The IP3K modulators can be further examined for their activity in modulating development of progenitor T cells (e.g., CD4+/CD8+ double positive T cells) into mature CD4+ or CD8+ single positive T cells. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising these T cell modulators can be administered to a subject to modulate T cell immune responses, to suppress inflammations, and to treat disease conditions such as autoimmune diseases, graft rejection or allergies.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2004Date of Patent: September 29, 2009Assignee: IRM LLCInventors: Michael P.
