  • Patent number: 12552694
Abstract: Products and methods related to the enhancement of efficacy of algaecides and/or aquatic herbicides using metallic trivalent cations, as well as the reduction in ecotoxicity and non-target effects and preservation of water quality. Some embodiments advantageously provide the benefit of binding phosphorus, but allow for a substantial reduction in the dissolved trivalent metal and an increased ability to target the main source of future phosphorus release. In one aspect of an embodiment, a trivalent cation delivery system includes a commonly available commodity that can be simultaneously added to the water or mixed in a tank prior to the application, avoiding the need for an industrial process to cohere the components. In another aspect of the embodiment, the trivalent cation delivery system may be accomplished by the use of an algaecide and/or aquatic herbicide prior to the application of the phosphorus binding metal.

  • Publication number: 20250012774
Abstract: A method, system, and predictive model that incorporate various sources of unrelated sediment data and water body data to determine the rate of sediment phosphorus release. This method, system, and/or model can be fine-tuned to enhance the accuracy of predictions by providing feedback data of measured phosphorus release. This method, system, and/or model can be used to assess the effectiveness of various strategies to suppress sediment phosphorus release and these predictions can also be fine-tuned by providing feedback data of measured effectiveness of these strategies in real world treatments or laboratory studies. In one embodiment, this model includes the calculation of coefficients related to the release of different forms of sediment phosphorus to create indices of phosphorus release in a water body.

  • Publication number: 20240365786
Abstract: Aquatic herbicidal formulations generally including at least one active ingredient and at least one functional additive that promotes nutrient sequestration. For example, in one embodiment the at least one functional additive includes a nutrient-binding ingredient that binds certain nutrients (such as nitrogen, phosphorous, nitrogenous compounds, and/or phosphoric compounds) within the target plant, from an environment surrounding or proximate the target plant, and/or as those nutrients are released after the application of the active ingredient.

  • Publication number: 20240041046
Abstract: Controlled-release liquid pesticide formulation that provide extended release, reduction in pesticide drift, and target control of invasive aquatic macrophytes, macroalgae, and/or benthic algae or cyanobacteria. In one embodiment, controlled-release liquid pesticide formulations include an active ingredient associated with or bound to a carrier and suspended in a liquid medium. In another embodiment, controlled-release liquid pesticide formulations comprise: a pesticide associated with a non-aqueous liquid or solid complex precipitates when applied to water bodies.

  • Patent number: 9817912
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer-readable medium and system for managing a virtual meeting are disclosed. Invitees for a virtual meeting may be automatically determined based upon a selection of one or more groups made using a graphical user interface. Each invitee may be notified of the virtual meeting. Users may conveniently attend the virtual meeting. A recording of the virtual meeting may then be made accessible to members of one or more groups selected using the graphical user interface. In this manner, the setup of a virtual meeting and the distribution of a recording of the virtual meeting can be improved.

  • Patent number: 9256695
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer-readable medium and system for sharing information are disclosed. A user may associate at least one group with content uploaded to a content database. Each group may be associated with a different department within the business, a different task, a different concept, etc. A search for content may be limited to one or more of the groups, thereby increasing the relevance of the results returned to a user. Additionally, relevance of the search results may be increased by enabling users to flag content so that it is excluded from subsequent searches. Further, certain members may certify content, thereby enabling a user to conveniently determine if content is credible and/or respected by other members of the business.
