Abstract: An apparatus for generating an optimised route between a plurality of locations comprises processing means in communication with the following: input means to enable a user to identify the plurality of locations, storage means for storing geographic data, a data handling engine for converting the locations into data representative of the plurality of locations by reference to the storage means, a route calculating engine for calculating an optimised route between the plurality of locations on the basis of said representative data, an image rendering engine for generating a series of images, each image of the series comprising a part of the optimised route between two of the identified locations and output means for outputting the series of images.

Abstract: This invention is a method for delivering, viewing and printing an electronic gemstone certificate to a remote computer or PC via the internet. When the gemstone, diamond or jewelry piece reaches the final retail store, a unique identification number is entered into interactive report viewer software, and the corresponding electronic versions of the reports are electronically downloaded to the PC and its viewer software. The electronic report includes data and images from lab reports, light performance reports, or a combination thereof. The PC can print paper facsimiles of the electronic report for use in the retail sale of the piece, or the PC can order a high quality, formal printed report for delivery to the retail outlet or the end consumer. The formal printed report can include all or a portion of the data and images for one or both the lab and light performance reports, or the combined report.

Abstract: A traffic monitor provides statistics of traffic using an activity input for receiving data related to activity on a server system. Events being monitored are binned by topic or term, where the terms are associated with categories. The categories can be a hierarchy of categories and subcategories, with terms being in one or more categories. The categorized events include page views and search requests and the results might be normalized over a field of events and a result output for outputting results of the normalizer as the statistical analyses of traffic.

Abstract: The electric motor is a fitment to a customer's unit and in particular to a customer's electronic throttle control unit. The motor comprises a can-like metal housing 10 having one or more outwardly extending flanges 21, 22 and an end cap 15 closing the open end 12 of the housing 10. The end cap 15 comprises a plastic inner part 16 which fits within the open end of the housing 10 and which supports motor terminals 17 and brush gear 18 for the motor. The end cap 15 also comprises a metal outer part 20 which has one or more portions 29, 30 extending over the flange or flanges 21, 22 of the housing. The flange(s) of the metal housing and the aforesaid portion(s) of the metal outer part of the end cap 15 have apertures 24, 32 for receiving fastening members whereby the motor can be connected to the customer's unit.

Abstract: An online method and system for evaluating a gemstone is provided that enables a consumer to use a personal computer to evaluate the visual appearance and measurement data of the gemstone by emulating the laboratory instruments that previously collected the data for the gemstone. The computer is connected to the internet and a website that is linked to a gemstone database, emulation software and graphical user interface. The consumer identifies the specific gemstone he or she wants to evaluate, and an interactive gemstone certificate screen is displayed. The consumer separately selects and then emulates a variety of lab instruments, such as color and clarity grading, geometric measuring, and light performance and light ray tracing instruments. Graphical images and data pertaining to the selected gemstone are displayed on the computer monitor, and selected portions of the database are downloaded and saved on the computer memory.
