  • Patent number: 11969593
Abstract: A system for electrical stimulation of the salivary glands for the treatment of dry mouth is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a headset with an electronic control module, placed on the back head, and a stimulating module, placed on the area to be stimulated. Both modules are connected by an elastic arm. The stimulating module provides one or more pairs of electrodes in contact with neuro-sensitive areas of a patient, and is anchored in the ear canal. The position of the electrodes is adjustable for optimized stimulation. The system may be operated by control bottoms that are part of the electronic control module or by a mobile device, such as a wireless remote control, a smartphone, or a tablet. A mobile device camera may be used for correcting the placement of the electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20200082722
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for improving the performances and safety of vehicles' navigation control systems by increasing the detectability and the information of low-electromagnetic-profile objects, such as road signs, children, and the like. The disclosed method includes a radar reflector and a passive, active or continuously-programmable RFID tag attached to the low-electromagnetic-profile objects and an RFID reader added to the vehicle and connected to its navigation control system. The RFID tags store in their memory relevant information about the object, which is retrievable by the interrogating reader, providing the navigation control system, in real-time, vital identifying information about the characteristics of the low-electromagnetic-profile object in addition to its position relative to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20110076636
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a portable dental whitening device. The device comprises a flexible mouthpiece including a bite platform having a horseshoe shape adapted to receive a plurality of mouth shapes. The mouthpiece comprising at least one lighting element for generating light, at least one heating element for generating heat, a flexible printed circuit board, and at least one temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the heat generated by the at least one heating elements. Further, the device comprises a control unit for selectively powering said lighting element and said heating element. The dental whitening is achieved by applying simultaneously the light and the heat and the chemical activity delivered by a whitening agent provided in the mouthpiece.
