Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide messaging for assessment of telecommunication issues or other types of operational issues in networks that provide a service. In one embodiment, a client device (such as a computing device) that consumes information from a service provided via a network can determine a service performance issue. In response, in certain embodiments, the client device can probe multiple network components in the network by sending multiple messages to each of the multiple network components. The client device can determine a response to the messages from at least one of the multiple network components, and can leverage the response in order to determine an operating condition of and/or assign an operating condition status to at least one of the network components. As such, in certain embodiments, the client device can identify connectivity issues, communication infrastructure issues, and/or networking issues at the network.

Abstract: Web pages, such as a captive portal web page, may be rendered on an electronic display such as a display of a television that is removably coupled to a content streaming device. The web pages may be rendered using a customized user interface (UI) of a captive portal application executable on the content streaming device. The UI of the captive portal application may be customized for viewing at a longer distance than a typical distance between a user and a handheld mobile device. A computer-executable script may be embedded or otherwise associated with source code of a web page to cause a focus outline of a selectable UI element to be displayed more prominently when a user navigates to the selectable UI element using, for example, a remote control device configured to communicate with the content streaming device.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods and systems for presenting content to users on a computing device. In some embodiments, the computing device is configured to determine content or object of interest on the display screen of the computing device by using head position information of the user. For example, the content or object of interest can be extrapolated and determined from a 3D head position of the user and the relative position of the computing device. Depending on the content or object of interest, one or more actions (e.g., zooming in or out, rendering advertisement, or auto-focusing) related to the content or object of interest can be performed on the computing device.
