The light source module includes a substrate, a light source, an electrical interface, a first optical interface, and a second optical interface. A connection between the light source module and the optical communication device is a detachable connection, and the light source and the electrical interface are disposed on the substrate. The electrical interface is configured to supply power to the light source, and the first optical interface is configured to output continuous light emitted by the light source and/or receive a first optical signal from the optical communication device. The second optical interface and the first optical interface are on different sides, and the second optical interface is configured to receive a second optical signal from an outside of the optical communication device and/or the first optical signal sent by the first optical interface.

    Abstract: This application provides a light source module, an optical communications board, and an optical communications system. The light source module includes a light source emission module configured to emit a laser and a housing configured to protect the light source emission module. The light source emission module is connected to a first connector and a second connector, the first connector is an optical signal connector, and the second connector is an electrical signal connector. When the first connector and the second connector are specifically disposed, the first connector and the second connector are located on a same side of the housing. In addition, both the first connector and the second connector are pluggable connectors. When being connected to a backplane, the first connector and the second connector may be separately connected to a board body in a pluggable manner.

The first and the second ports connect to the fifth and the sixth ports, respectively, to form two connections. The phase modulator is disposed on one of the two connections, and the seventh port connects to an optical modulator. Both the third and the fourth ports connect to a light source emitting continuous light, and the phase modulator selects one of the two light sources for output from the seventh port.
