    Abstract: An overhead lighting system is formed by embedding a plurality of light elements within a support structure, such as a ceiling panel of a suspended ceiling. The light elements are preferably ultra-bright light emitting diodes (LEDs). The LEDs are mounted in the ceiling panel so that the light emitted from each LED projects from a first surface of the ceiling panel and down into a respective space.
