  • Publication number: 20220266653
Abstract: A vehicle comprising an LED headlamp including a lens and an LED light source. A heating element is provided at the lens. A control module is in communication with the heating element. A temperature sensor that is configured to generate a signal indicative of an outside temperature is in communication with the control module, and a speed sensor that is configured to generate a signal indicative of a vehicle speed is in communication with the control module. Upon receipt by the control module of the signal indicative of the outside temperature that is less than a predetermined temperature and upon receipt by the control module of the signal indicative of the vehicle speed that is greater than a predetermined vehicle speed, the control module is configured to activate the heating element.

  • Patent number: 7266342
Abstract: A method is provided of transferring satellite digital audio channel information to a radio display module. The method includes: broadcasting radio display type information on a in-vehicle communication network; storing a value in the radio display module to indicate a current version of at least one channel information table in the radio display module; sending a value to the radio display module to indicate the current version of the channel information table stored in a satellite receiver module; requesting the satellite receiver module to send the current channel information table; transforming the channel information table into a message protocol structure within a data stream whereby the data stream is transmitted to the radio display module; and storing the data stream into an address in the radio display module.

  • Patent number: 5790039
Abstract: A method for detecting the presence of a spark in an electronic ignition system. The method consists of generating an overvoltage event and then generating a voltage signal proportional to the overvoltage event. The onset of the overvoltage event is detected by comparing the voltage signal to a starting threshold voltage and in response is provided a first signal at a high logic level. The first signal is maintained at said high logic level during the time duration of the overvoltage event. The termination of the overvoltage event is detected by comparing the voltage signal to an ending threshold voltage, which is lower than the starting threshold voltage and proportional to a supply voltage of the electronic ignition system, and in response is provided a second signal at a low logic level. The time duration of the first signal is detected and then the presence of a spark is signalled if said time duration exceeds a reference value.
