Abstract: A laminate of creped tissue paper, which is wet-strength-treated and which has the required qualities for tablecloths, such as drape, heaviness, softness and tensile strength. The laminate is formed by applying an adhesive to a first tissue paper in patterns to form a first web. The first web is then laminated to another tissue paper web by means of a water-based adhesive compound containing a dispersion of the adhesive mixed with a large amount of filler. The filler makes the adhesive only penetrate to a limited depth into the respective surface layers of the webs that are directed towards each other.

Abstract: A method for determining wheel alignment of an automobile includes the initial step of clamping the chassis of the automobile in a measuring bench. After determining a centerline and datum plane for the automobile, a measuring system calibrated to the centerline and datum plane projects a laser beam parallel to the centerline in the datum plane. The laser beam is movable in the datum plane and in a plane perpendicular to the datum plane. The front suspension of each front wheel hub is then lifted to the proper ride height relative to the datum plane. A measuring unit is then mounted to each front wheel hub. The measurement of the camber, caster, SAI/KPI, and toe of each wheel hub is then determined. In addition, the TOOT of the front wheel hubs are determined while the hubs are lifted. Other measurements are possible, including checking the wheel alignment of the rear wheels.

Abstract: A method and a device for checking the dimensions of vehicles, preferably in connection with carrying out alignment work thereon. The method and the device use a reference frame (1) which is suspended from the chassis of the vehicle. Indicators (5, 12) are disposed at selected check points in the vehicle to indicate a possible deviation in position from a desired value at an individually selected check point on the vehicle, the nominal position of which is known and which is characteristic of the vehicle. The indicators comprise first indicator elements each in the form of a vertically adjustable lead rule (12) which is suspended in said check point or in points related thereto outside the vehicle, and second indicator elements in the form of horizontally adjustable reference pins (5). The distance between a selected reference point (12a) on the first indicator element and a selected reference point (5a) on the second indicator element constitutes a measure of the deviation sought.

Abstract: A pull clamp is provided for attaching to sheet metal flanges for transmission of pulling forces to the sheet metal, particularly in collision repair operations. The clamp comprises a pair of opposed clamping jaws adapted to be tightened against each other by bolts and have at one end opposite clamping surfaces for engagement with the sheet metal flange, the jaws furthermore enclosing a connecting member for coupling to a pulling means, said member including a conical wedge element for exerting a spreading-apart action of the inner surfaces of the jaws and hence through the bolts increase the clamping force between the clamping surfaces of the jaws in proportion to the pull of the pulling means.
