  • Publication number: 20130025395
Abstract: A haptic device for an actuator of a gear selector for a vehicle. The haptic device includes a first element and a second element coupled to one another and movable from a rest position, when the actuator is in a disengaged position, to a triggered position, when the actuator is moved to an engaged position. The elements define a space for accepting a slide between the first and second elements. A biasing member continuously biases the first and second elements toward one another. The slide defines a contoured surface. A cam follower selectively engages the contoured surface and urges the first and second elements toward the triggered position to create the tactile feedback to the actuator.

  • Patent number: 7614319
Abstract: An arrangement for controlling gear positions in a car includes a console having a wall, and one or more sensors arranged in connection to the console wall. The arrangement additionally includes a gear lever and a code device constructed to interact with the one or more sensors. The code device is connected to the gear lever so that the code device moves upon motion of the gear lever. The code device is pivotably secured adjacent to the gear lever, and the arrangement can bias the code device in a direction toward the console wall. The arrangement can further include an arm by which the code device is pivotably secured in the gear lever.

  • Publication number: 20070193385
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for controlling gear positions in a car, comprising a console, having a wall (140), and one or more sensors (A, B) arranged in connection to said wall, and further comprising a gear lever (210) and a code device (220, 230, 240) which can interact with the said sensors (A, B), in which the code device (220, 230, 240) is connected to the gear lever (210) so that the code device is actuated to move upon motion of the gear lever. The code device (230) is pivotably secured adjacent to the gear lever (210) and the arrangement further comprises means (240) for biasing the code device (230) in the direction of the said console wall (140). Expediently, the arrangement further comprises an arm (220) by which the code device (230) is pivotably secured in the gear lever (210).

  • Patent number: 7246538
Abstract: A centering device for elongated elements consisting of a fixed position-retaining part (13) which includes a concave guiding surface (16), and a mobile position-retaining part (12) arranged on the elongated element, or vice versa. The mobile position-retaining part (12) includes a pin (14) which is spring biased for contact against the concave guiding surface. The pin (14) is arranged in at least one casing, and is together with the casing arranged in a cavity (20) in a holder which is fixedly attached to the elongated element with a pin head (23) protruding out of an opening (24) in a front end of both the casing and the holder. The holder (15) includes a seat (38) with a guiding surface for a peripherally conical portion (36) of the casing. This is spring biased in the axial direction so that the conical portion strives to be in contact with the seat of the holder in and for centering of the casing and the pin relative to the longitudinal axis (21) of the holder.

  • Patent number: 5174644
Abstract: Mirror and illumination unit for motor vehicles, comprising a shell (6) flush mounted in the vehicle ceiling (1). A panel (11) with a mirror (12) is hinged at the front edge of the shell (6). An illumination unit (10) is mounted at the rear edge of the shell. A screen (15) provided on the panel with light emitting slots (14) covers, when the panel is in its folded-up position, the illumination unit, so that the face directed lighting will be less when the mirror is in its folded-up position than when it is folded out.
