  • Patent number: 6551010
Abstract: A vehicle impact system includes a road accommodating vehicle traffic in a direction along its center line, a support structure and first and second adjacent energy-absorbing fender elements supported by the support structure and extending adjacent to the road. Each of the first and second adjacent energy-absorbing fender elements includes an elastomeric leg extending non-parallel from the support structure and a contact panel extending from the leg. The contact panel has a contact surface extending substantially parallel to the road center line, a forward end and a rearward end. The forward end of the first adjacent fender element faces the rearward end of the second adjacent fender element such that when the contact surface of the first adjacent fender element is engaged by a vehicle, the leg of the first adjacent fender element resiliently flexes to move the forward end of the first adjacent fender element into engagement with the rearward end of the second adjacent fender element.

  • Patent number: 5185980
Abstract: A wall exposed to wear is made up of wear-resisting, impact-absorbing elements (11) and a structure (10, 12, 13) supporting these elements. The elements (11) are elongate and have base portions (15) to permit mounting the elements on the supporting structure, and arch portions (19) of elastomer or plastic material which extend freely between the base portions and directly pass into a protective layer over the base portions. The thickness of the arch portions amounts to 50% at most, preferably about 30-50% of the total thickness of the element, which preferably is at least about 10 cm.

  • Patent number: 5085324
Abstract: A screen formed of a screen frame (10) with screen cloth elements (11) mounted after each other. The screen cloth elements (11) are fixed in the screen frame by snap lock (16, 17; 18). One part (16, 17) of the snap lock is integrally formed with the screen cloth element (11) and arranged adjacent one end thereof. The other part (18) of the snap lock is a thickened portion at the upper edge of a supporting element (19) in the screen frame (10). The opposite end of the screen cloth element rests on a projecting abutment surface (20) on the supporting element (19) and is clamped between this abutment surface and a projecting edge portion (22) of the preceding screen cloth element.

  • Patent number: 4446192
Abstract: A wear-resistant rubber product adapted to be used as, for example, a lifter in grinding mills, comprises at least two prefabricated parts (11, 12) interconnected with one another by means of a binder layer having a thickness of at least 2 mm and consisting of in situ cast and cured polyurethane. The wear-resistant rubber product is manufactured by placing the prefabricated cured rubber parts (11, 12) at a distance of at least 2 mm from one another and by introducing, preferably injecting a reacting urethane rubber composition with excess isocyanate groups into the gap (13) to cause said prefabricated parts on either side of said gap to be contacted subtantially simultaneously by the said urethane rubber composition.

  • Patent number: 4184584
Abstract: The disclosure relates to bucket elevators of the type having a series of rotatably mounted buckets carried by and extending between spaced apart, parallel traction chains or belts. The traction chains or belts are, at the discharge station, disposed to run up over guide rollers, the cam surface of the discharge station consisting of a circular cam surface concentric with the guide rollers, and the cam follower surface of each bucket consisting of a corresponding arcuate cam follower surface, in order that the buckets abut with their arcuate cam follower surface against the circular cam surface of the guide rollers during the passage of the traction chains or belts over the guide rollers of the discharge station.
