  • Patent number: 9339902
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for dismantling of chosen parts of assembled pallets, said device including a support frame, that carries a first and a second dismantling station, into which pallets are insertable. The first dismantling station comprises at least one knife, which can be driven in between chosen outer parts of a base of a pallet in order to separate at least some of these parts. The second dismantling station comprises at least one knife, which can be driven in between chosen inner parts of a base of a pallet or between outer parts of a deck of a pallet in order to separate any of these parts. The device also comprises a multiple-axle robot, which is arranged to feed pallets into and out of the device and to position said pallets in relation to the knifes of both dismantling stations of the device.

  • Patent number: 5284466
Abstract: Apparatus for fastening and folding stacks of paper sheets includes a stitching unit adapted to collect staples and insert them in the sheet stack while a folding knife simultaneously drives a section of the sheet stack into a gap of the stitching unit to fold the stack. The inserting edge of the folding knife provides the die for bending the inserted staple into a secured configuration. The folding knife and the stitching unit gap are preferably mounted on planet wheels of coordinated planetary gears so that the knife and the gap periodically align to fold and fasten the sheet stacks.

  • Patent number: 4392052
Abstract: An apparatus replaceably carries an electrical resistance element for a furnace. The electrical element is of serpentine configuration having a plurality of U-shaped portions. At least one plate-shaped carrying element is mechanically fastened in a block of ceramic fibrous material. The carrying element includes a plurality of through-passages into which the U-shaped portions of the electrical element are inserted. The through-passages each include side walls and transverse walls which restrain movement of the electrical element in all directions except a direction in which the electrical element is inserted and removed. The carrying element is spaced from the adjacent curved segments of the U-shaped portions. The electrical element terminates in elongated terminals which are carried by a plug of fibrous ceramic material. The electrical element is situated within a recess of the ceramic block.

  • Patent number: 4295033
Abstract: An annealing oven for wire and the like includes a tubular elongated heater made of electrical resistance alloy material. The wire passing therethrough is so guided that it remains at all times out of contact with the heater and no current passes through the wire. Relatively movable sections of heat-insulating material laterally jacket the tube to facilitate threading a wire through a slot in the tube and so as to facilitate rigid heating with a minimum of heat loss, so as to adjust heat loss as a part of temperature control, and so as to effect rapid cooling of the tube. The sections are arranged in pairs, and a pair of such sections has a lesser insulating capacity than the preceding section, taken in the direction of wire movement. The device is compact and takes a minimum of space adjacent to any material processing machine.
