    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an opening device for a package is disclosed. The opening device comprises an outer wall portion an an inner layer of substantially gas-tight material, the outer wall portion including a first tearing notch defining an opening and a second tearing notch defining a grip tongue, and the outer wall and the inner layer being interconnected substantially over their total surfaces facing each other with the outer wall portion and the inner layer being separated within an area substantially under the grip tongue. The method comprises the steps of coating the inner layer with an adhesion preventing coating within an area corresponding to said grip tongue, and connecting the inner layer to the substantially rigid outer wall portion.

    Abstract: Overrunning protection for a grinding machine comprising a grinding wheel mounted in a head stock. The head stock is supported on a frame for movement in a direction toward and away from a work rest for a work piece at one end of the frame and a drive for rotating the grinding wheel. The drive is operable to rotate the grinding wheel at a first angular velocity and a second lower angular velocity. The overrunning protection consists of a blocking member operable between a first position permitting engagement of the drive to rotate the grinding wheel at the first angular velocity and a second position permitting engagement of the drive to rotate the grinding wheel at the lower angular velocity. A first sensor senses the position of the blocking member and a second sensor senses the position of the head stock in relation to the grinding position of the work piece at the work rest.

A pair of elements project from each of the discs, being spaced from the axis thereof and angularly spaced around the axis. The elements project different distances from the discs in a direction parallel to the axes. The elements are connected by parallel rods which are articulatd at their ends to the elements.

    Abstract: An industrial robot has a movable arm and a tool mounted on the arm and connected thereto so as to be movable with at least one degree of freedom relative to the arm, and transducers are arranged to sense the position of the tool relative to the arm and to regulate control means for the positioning of the tool. The connecting means may permit movement in a plurality of directions, and this movement takes place against prestressed spring members so that movement only takes place when the force causing the movement exceeds a minimum value.

    Abstract: A collecting apparatus for gases, particularly when given-off by the oil of an oil-filled transformer in operation, provides for collecting known volumes of the gases and of an oxidizing gas and thereafter mixing these volumes together and causing any hydrocarbon or other burnable gas to burn via the oxidizing gas, to determine the existence and amount of the burnable gas. This permits an evaluation of the transformer oil. The apparatus may be used in other fields.
