Publication number: 20230282375Abstract: A Control Neutron Absorber (CNA) assembly for a microreactor that produces nuclear energy is disclosed. The CNA assembly includes a housing, a CNA rod, and a burnable absorber. The housing includes an inner housing and an outer housing. The inner housing is configured to receive a CNA rod. The outer housing extends coaxially with the inner housing and is positioned radially outward and offset from the inner housing defining a cavity therebetween. The CNA rod includes a neutron absorbing rod including a first neutron absorbing material. The neutron absorbing rod is positioned within the inner housing and is configured to move axially relative to the inner housing. The burnable absorber includes a second neutron absorbing material, exhibits a neutron absorbing strength that is less than that of the neutron absorbing rod, is positioned within the inner housing, and is configured to receive the neutron absorbing rod therein.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2023Publication date: September 7, 2023Inventors: Travis L. Patent number: 10922059Abstract: Techniques for configuring and generating an integrated application interface are disclosed. An interface for generating application metadata associating application components and component behaviors may be displayed to a user. The metadata generation interface accepts user input associating an action with an application component. The system generates application metadata, defining application behavior corresponding to the application component, based on the user input. The system may generate a platform interface that integrates the application behavior into a platform interface, based on the application metadata. The system determines behaviors of components of the application by analyzing the application metadata. Based on the application component behaviors, the system renders platform components of the platform interface to integrate the application behaviors into the platform interface.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2019Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Dylan Conley, Benjamin Baker, Pavel Cherkashin, Joshua Thorson, Joseph Campbell, Brian Korbein, Robert Lee Williams, III, Arthur Harrill

Publication number: 20120117852Abstract: A repeating animal capture and containment system includes a housing defined by a set of peripheral walls. An opening is formed in one of the peripheral walls and a removable, ramped trapping device is removably mounted within the housing and aligned with the opening in the peripheral wall. The ramped trapping device allows an animal, such as a rodent, to enter into the housing yet prevents the captured animal from exiting the housing. The housing is sized to include a containment area that communicates with the trapping device by a passageway. The containment area provides a living space for the captured animal until it can be set free. The removability of the ramped trapping device allows the device to be removed for cleaning and maintenance as needed. The system further includes features that prevent lateral and/or vertical displacement of the ramped trapping device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2010Publication date: May 17, 2012Inventor: Benjamin Baker

Publication number: 20070231124Abstract: A method for inspecting a turbine nozzle segment includes positioning the turbine nozzle segment on a base of a tool, with the outer forward face and the inner forward face of the turbine nozzle segment contacting a surface of the base. The outer wall is positioned between a first pedestal outer stand and a second pedestal outer stand of the tool, and the inner wall is positioned between a first pedestal inner stand and a second pedestal inner stand of the tool. At least one of a position, a depth and a width of a seal slot formed in a side edge of the outer wall and/or the inner wall is measured. At least one axial dimension of the turbine nozzle segment and at least one radial dimension of the turbine nozzle segment are measured.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2005Publication date: October 4, 2007Inventors: Graham Sherlock, Paul Kalmar, Benjamin Baker
