The water vapor permeable ribbed membrane comprises a plurality of ribs located on at least the bottom surface. An adhesive layer is located on the plurality of ribs. When the adhesive layer is adhered to a top surface of another water vapor permeable ribbed membrane, the adhesive layer has a peel adhesion of at least 1.5 lb/in, as measured according to ASTM D3330 (Method B).
