  • Publication number: 20080083334
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method and system for removing ash, particularly a heat-treated ash deposit from a filter. At least a majority (e.g., greater than 50 wt %) of the ash is removed as a result of the process. The filter containing the ash deposit is contacted with an acid composition to remove a majority of the ash, and the acid-contacted filter is then treated to remove at least a portion of the acid.
