Abstract: A vehicle detection system warns snowmobilers of other approaching vehicles with potential risk of collision. To better prevent accidents, the system calculates collision risks and warns the rider based on level of risk. When riding in groups, a member can press a stop request button to ask the group to slow down. When a member exits the group, everyone in the group will receive a message, alerts or indication with the update. The vehicle detection system utilizes Bluetooth® low energy (BLE), LoRaWAN® technologies and/or global positioning system technologies and is designed to detect other devices in the region and use acquired information to calculate proximity and risk of collision.

User input received at the device indicates whether to allow an application associated with a first perimeter on the device to access a network resource associated with a second perimeter on the device. For example, in some instances user input may indicate whether to allow data from applications associated with a personal perimeter on the device to be transmitted over an enterprise communication system. When outbound data associated with the first perimeter are received, the device determines, according to the indication from the user input, whether to route the outbound data to the network resource associated with the second perimeter.

The method includes, in response to detecting coupling of the portable electronic device to a charger for charging the battery of the portable electronic device, determining if a condition is met to enter a reduced battery use state, and in response to determining that the condition to enter the reduced battery use state is met, identifying a configuration setting of the portable electronic device in the reduced battery use state, and entering the reduced battery use state by applying the configuration setting to adjust a configuration of the portable electronic device.
