  • Publication number: 20260060678
Abstract: Excess skin removal and wound closure devices, such as blepharoplasty devices and methods, are provided. An exemplary device for excising excess skin (e.g. eyelid skin) and creating wound closure includes a base, a lever mechanism coupled with the base via a lever pivot, a locking mechanism, an elongate curved first jaw member in fixed relationship with the base and having a lower serrated tissue contacting surface, an elongate curved second jaw member in movable relationship with the base and having an upper serrated tissue contacting surface. The upper serrated tissue contacting surface of the second jaw member can face toward the lower serrated tissue contacting surface of the first jaw member. The locking mechanism can be releasably engageable with the second jaw member. The pivoting actuation of the lever mechanism can cause linear movement of the second jaw member relative to the first jaw member.

  • Publication number: 20250381006
Abstract: Suture systems, devices, and methods to enhance the precision and efficiency of surgical procedures are disclosed herein. Exemplary sutures are integrated with length indicators along their length, providing surgeons with an immediate visual reference for measuring anatomical distances intra-operatively in open and key hole (e.g. arthroscopic and endoscopic) procedures, tissue dimensions, gauging suture tension, and determining the optimal or desired suture length required for closure. The length indicators, marked at predetermined intervals, allow for accurate measurement without the need for additional tools, thereby streamlining the surgical process and reducing operation time. This suture material is particularly beneficial in complex surgeries where precision is paramount, and can improve patient outcomes by enabling more accurate tissue approximation and wound closure.

  • Patent number: 12466498
Abstract: An air-guiding device for a motor vehicle has a wheel spoiler which is arrangeable in front of a wheel of the motor vehicle in the vehicle longitudinal direction and, when in the installed position, protrudes downwards in the vehicle vertical direction relative to an adjacent underfloor region of the motor vehicle and has, on its downwardly facing side, an air-guiding edge which has a straight, first length region and a non-straight, second length region. The straight, first length region directly adjoins the non-straight, second length region inwardly in the vehicle transverse direction in the installed position, the second length region at least partially covered to the rear in the vehicle longitudinal direction by the wheel in its straight-ahead position when the wheel spoiler is in the installed position. The non-straight, second length region has multiple elevations and depressions following one another alternatingly in the vehicle transverse direction.
