  • Publication number: 20240187087
Abstract: A method for allocating time-frequency telecommunication resources in a telecommunication system includes a satellite, user terminals UE (20_1, 20_2), the satellite simultaneously rendering multiple telecommunication beams (B_1, B_2) that are each associated with a separate user terminal UE (20_1, 20_2) and dynamically re-centering each beam on the associated UE; the method comprising: given a set of grids each representing at least a portion of the Earth's surface and each comprising a plurality of areas, the distance between any two areas of a grid being above a determined non-zero threshold associated with the grid, the time-frequency resources are allocated relative to a time T by applying at least the following rule: a time-frequency resource associated with the grid may be allocated to each of 2 UEs (20_1, 20_2) only if the positions of the 2 UEs are in separate areas of the grid.

  • Publication number: 20230188202
Abstract: A 5G communication system between at least one mobile terminal and a core network, the communication system includes at least one satellite, an access network comprising a plurality of base stations and a gateway disposed between the satellite and one of the base stations, the satellite and the gateway being able to exchange service frames comprising uplink service frames and downlink service frames, the uplink service frames having to be temporally aligned with the downlink service frames around a time reference point.

  • Publication number: 20230188206
Abstract: A method is provided for compensating time differences for the time alignment of uplink service frames and downlink service frames, the uplink service frames and the downlink service frames being exchanged between a satellite and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal belonging to a 5G cell comprising a cell centre, the pre-compensation is calculated on the basis of a main beam directed towards the centre (O) of the cell (5G).

  • Patent number: 7165203
Abstract: Frames exchanged between a control unit and a radio terminal via base stations are encapsulated, with timestamping information, in frames over an asynchronous interface between the control unit and each station. The timestamping information accompanying a data frame over the asynchronous interface indicates an instant of transmission of the said frame by each station according to a time counter specific to the radio section of the connection. The information accompanying an acknowledgement frame over the asynchronous interface indicates an instant of reception of the said frame by each station according to the said time counter. On reception of an acknowledgement frame accompanied by a timestamping information element indicating an instant of reception and indicating the non-reception by the terminal of the said data frame, the reception of the acknowledgement frame is selectively taken into account for the retransmission of the said data frame.

  • Publication number: 20040143676
Abstract: The sending unit (30) produces a sequence of blocks each comprising data to be transmitted and a header, that it sends to a receiving unit (31). The header of each block comprises an acknowledgement control field activated intermittently so as to request an acknowledgement of blocks on the part of the receiving unit. The acknowledgement control field for some blocks of the sequence is activated in accordance with a predetermined triggering mode, and the activation of the acknowledgement control field is repeated for at least one block of the sequence that was sent after a block where the acknowledgement control field has been activated in accordance with the predetermined triggering mode.

The instant of transmission of a data frame is stored.
