  • Publication number: 20260166601
Abstract: A fume extraction system is designed for metal working and other applications. The fume extraction system includes one or more motors and/or adjustment devices to control fume suction airflow. One or more sensors may monitor a condition of the welding torch to determine if a welding arc is present. Control circuitry is operable to receive signals from the one or more sensors and/or power supply in order to determine the presence of the welding arc. The control circuitry can control the fume extraction system to adjust suction airflow based on the presence of the welding arc.

  • Publication number: 20260084251
Abstract: An example welding extraction machine comprising: one or more inlets to receive an air flow and direct the air flow to a main path; a first valve configured to direct the air flow through the main path or through a first diversion, wherein the main path includes a first filter type and a second filter type, wherein the first diversion bypasses the first filter type; a second valve configured to direct the air flow through the main path or through a second diversion, wherein the second diversion bypasses the main path including the second filter type; and an exhaust for outputting the air flow.

  • Publication number: 20250353097
Abstract: Some examples of the present disclosure relate to tracking attachments that allow trackable markers to be easily attached to TIG welding torches, thereby removing the need for costly customized/modified TIG welding torches. In some examples, each tracking attachment includes one or more trackable markers that can be detected and/or tracked by a monitoring system. In some examples, the trackable marker(s) of the tracking attachment facilitate tracking and/or monitoring of welding technique by aiding in the tracking/monitoring of the position(s) and/or orientation(s) of the TIG welding torch during welding-type operations.

Abstract: Some examples of the present disclosure relate to tracking attachments that allow trackable markers to be easily attached to stick electrodes and/or stick electrode holders, thereby removing the need for costly customized/modified stick electrode holders and/or stick electrodes. In some examples, each tracking attachment includes one or more trackable markers that can be detected and/or tracked by a monitoring system. In some examples, the trackable marker(s) of the tracking attachment facilitate tracking and/or monitoring of welding technique by aiding in the tracking/monitoring of the position(s) and/or orientation(s) of the stick electrode and/or stick electrode holder during welding-type operations.

  • Publication number: 20250353101
Abstract: Some examples of the present disclosure relate to feeder pen tracking attachments that allow trackable markers to be easily attached to filler rod feeder pens, thereby removing the need for costly customized/modified filler rod feeder pens (and/or filler rods). In some examples, each feeder pen tracking attachment includes one or more trackable markers that can be detected and/or tracked by a monitoring system. In some examples, the trackable marker(s) of the feeder pen tracking attachment facilitate tracking and/or monitoring of welding technique by aiding in the tracking/monitoring of the position(s) and/or orientation(s) of the filler rod feeder pen (and/or filler rod) during welding-type operations.

  • Publication number: 20250299599
Abstract: In some examples, portable technique monitoring systems provide lightweight, user-friendly, self-contained, and/or highly portable means of monitoring the technique of operators during a welding-type operation, and/or providing technique feedback. In some examples, a portable technique monitoring system is designed to work with a mobile device that is relatively low cost and highly portable (e.g., as compared to some other expensive and/or stationary sensors/processors used in other monitoring systems). The portable technique monitoring system can also work with standard and/or common workpieces, tools, and/or equipment. The few custom components that are required for the portable technique monitoring system are relatively low cost, lightweight, and highly portable, as is the system itself, making it a very attractive solution for technique monitoring in both training and production scenarios.
